Error: Word could not re-establish... (due to Ignore Other Apps in Excel).
Error:
Word could not re-establish a DDE connection to Microsoft Excel to complete the current task.
Cause:
The 'Ignore Other Application' check box in Excel was selected.
Solution:
Clear the 'Ignore Other Applications' check box on the 'General' tab in Excel.
1) Open the Excel document.
2) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'.
3) Click the 'General' tab.
4) Select the 'Ignore Other Applications' check box.
5) Click 'OK'.
